An exceptionally impressive large example featuring very unusual iron hilt mounts with ebony grips and a very exciting guard form. Mounted with a massive broad single edged blade having T-section for lower half of its length, same area featuring well preserved blued panels with etched and gilt Ottoman motives and various carbolistic scripts. Nice patina throughout the blade and iron hilt mounts, solid and intact overall on this fine and highly exciting Revolutionary war era weapon.
